How does the scanning work?

Take a photo of your document and Terminowo will automatically detect the expiry date using OCR (optical character recognition). The app supports documents in English, Polish, Russian, and Ukrainian.

Why wasn't the date detected correctly?

OCR works best with clear, well-lit photos. Make sure the document is flat, the text is in focus, and there is no glare or shadow covering the date. You can always edit the date manually after scanning.

Where is my data stored?

All your data — document images, dates, and reminders — is stored locally on your device. Nothing is uploaded to any server. If you uninstall the app, all data is permanently deleted.

Do I need an account to use the app?

No. Terminowo works without any sign-up or login. All features are available immediately after installation.

How do reminders work?

You can set reminders for 90, 30, 7, or 1 day before a document expires. Reminders are scheduled locally on your device using system notifications. Make sure notifications are enabled for Terminowo in your device settings.

I'm not receiving reminders

Check that notifications are enabled for Terminowo in your device settings. On Android, also make sure the app is not restricted by battery optimization — some manufacturers aggressively kill background apps. You can usually find this in Settings → Battery → App battery management.

How do I delete a document?

Open the document from the list and use the delete option. The document image and all associated data will be permanently removed from your device.

How do I delete all my data?

Uninstalling the app removes all stored data. You can also delete documents one by one within the app.
